the fun day

The marae trip

On Tuesday I went to the marae.

First we got on the bus.

Next we got to the marae we had to be quiet when we got there.

Then we got welcomed on to the marae.

A lady named Fiona welcomed us no to the marae.

Then finally we got into the marae.

When we got in there we had something to eat.

But we got to listen to uncle pat's speech.

We did not sit down straight away.

Uncle Pat had a speech  we prayed  our food.

After we did it Mr Wilkinson did it to.

Finally we got to eat the food and we had a drink.

We put our bags on the grass.

Then we had a break and a play.

Then we listened to a story.

We had some food to eat.

Then we did our mihi but we all had to say  it.

We got to visit the graveyard.

We had to flick water over our back.

That day was fun.

Then we walked back.

Then we thought about the day.
